Rennes and the Meaning of Life

J'adore the door! The asymmetry and colour of the doors and shutters was charming I thought.

Perhaps these windows and doors are very inconvenient. It is quite likely that the shutters stick and that most people of average height concuss themselves upon the lintel of the door trying to enter. Perhaps people fall out the door trying to find the step down in the dark, or trip over the step coming home. Perhaps some people look at the shutters and notice that the fasteners do not match and that the splash of French blue vandalism on the left shutter spoils the paintwork.

Perhaps…

But I loved this simple, wonky, lemony yellow joy of a place in Rennes.

If, according to the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy , the meaning of life is “42” then I am sure that this is where it can be found.
