I have just spent a wonderfully lazy Sunday.
After a leisurely stroll about the local Marché aux Puces where I discovered several priceless treasures, including an ice bucket and 8 capsicum plants, I returned home to commune with nature, planting one Souvenir de la Malmaison rose and the said eight capsicum plants. I prepared and ate a delicious meal of sausages and then finished the afternoon watching the restored version of Metropolis, which I found to be one of the most visually interesting and engrossing movies I have ever seen.
Inspired by the wonderful effects of early black and white cinematography I have been playing with some of my photos and here is a willy wagtail I snapped last week on our little foray into the local swamp.
An Art Deco masterpiece it aint, but I hope you like it.
