Mondayitis! Not Again?!!

A local antique fair unearthed this priceless treasure. The Beatles Matroska! If size indicates importance then poor Ringo got the short end of the stick. At least he gets to hold the guitar for a change.

Welcome to a regular post designed to help alleviate that most persistent of maladies, Mondayitis.

I realise that when a person is suffering from this pernicious malady that they are likely to feel strong surges of negative emotion, which is why I will not tell them that today I am sitting enjoying a delightful tisane in my neatly manicured garden knowing that I do not need to work as it is “Labour Day” in Australia and we all get the day off! PLEASE FEEL FREE TO VENT NOW YOU POOR WORKERS OUT THERE!

Remain calm! I will not trouble you further. I have spent the weekend searching for something for your entertainment and will do so each Monday until Mondayitis strikes and, I too am laid low.

Science tells us that the mere physical act of smiling (even if you feel like crying and throwing things about) releases “happy hormones” so hopefully the links I share with you might do just that.

Globe – T, The Bonnet Voyageur is a wonderful blog which has a fantastic variety of content ranging from travel photos to Art Installations, all seen through the perspective of a knitted hat!

This sequence of images from the artist Terry Border is a wonderfully effective use of everyday objects and bent wire to make a real comment on life and to raise a smile!

If you have found something amusing over the weekend that you would like to share to help us all through this terrible affliction please feel free to post a link to it in the comments section. Just remember, NO SMUT PLEASE! This is a family friendly blog!
