Love is Blue

Insight

I felt it at last

Like a lover’s gentle touch

My lost contact lens

I stumbled upon a wonderful Haiku blog today which has a weekly prompt and thought I would give it a go. The prompt for this week is “Love – Last”, and, since Haiku usually have some whistful, melancholic quality I went for that. Please note that these poems do not indicate that I am having issues with my love life as one kind reader asked ever so discreetly the other day after reading another haiku of mine.

Love Token

At my old shoe last

I made my love a slipper

Which she walked through mud

Fall

Love bloomed in springtime

But, by the summer’s end, they

Watched the dead leaves fall.

    1. Many thanks! I really enjoy fitting ideas into the little space that haiku allows. So glad you like the picture and thanks for taking the time to comment! 🙂 We are lucky to have such a lovely place nearby. Best wishes! 🙂
