This is the last TJ’s Household Haiku Challenge for 2015! Oh weep! Oh sigh! Oh well….

Still recovering from assorted food comas I realised that today is Sunday and not Saturday and that I forgot to do the challenge!

As I hope that you have all been partying too hard to care I hereby present the last Haiku challenge of 2015 – “Magnet” most of us have one sticking to something around the house. These little wonders of science have transformed our fridges into notice boards or repositories of wise sayings and assorted pictures of cute kittens and other delightful images.

  4. quite the intriguing haiku. Read in the context of the magnets, its an amusing twist on the word “repulsion,” an property of physics, nature. Taken by itself without any commentary, the mind leaps reflexively to the attraction between two people, and repulsion takes on a whole negative emotional connotation. This leads my mind to ask “is not this attraction and negative emotional response not also both a property of physics, nature, as well, influenced by or stirred up what swirls in the cosmos of conscious subconscious mind?” Okay, I think I better step away before I rattle and ramble on for a couple of pages. 🙂

    1. I am intrigued by your premise and would happily read more. The sheer variety of attractions is intriguingly complex. That we have a subconscious self contributing to our decision making is eternally fascinating if not disturbing.
