TJ’s Household Haiku – Tap

Tap
Tap at the Mont St Michel

In the hot summer

The water hits the parched earth

Drip, drip, drip, drip, drip

It’s Saturday again! Naturally I would like to claim that this is my bathroom tap but as that is far from picturesque I have used a photo I took of a tap on a wall at the Mont St Michel. I rather like the fact that such a prosaic object projects out of the mouth of a carved lion and is embellished with a royal crest. “May one use the royal tap your majesty?”

If this prompt “turns you on!” (get it?) and you would like to pour out your creative soul (get it?) then just let your haiku juices flow (get it?) and add a link to your haiku post in the comments section by clicking on the black speech bubble at the end of the post. Cheap puns are also highly appreciated!

Thanks to the creative people who responded to last week’s prompt “Containers”

    1. I am so delighted that you are enjoying participating. I am certainly enjoying your poetry! This weeks effort is no exception. 3 wonderful and innovative takes on the prompt. I can’t decide which I like more. Perhaps the maple syrup because I love maple syrup.

          1. No problem at all for the delay. That’s why originally I did the saturday night post with the cure video on my Friday night

        1. You have done absolutely the right thing. The prompt can be taken any way you like and the more creative the better. The best haiku take our minds on off-beaten tracks so yours is particularly good. Please don’t hesitate to ask any questions at any time. Thanks again for your creativity! TJ
