This was a shot I took last week at Araluen Park near Perth. The butterflies were everywhere and the flowers were quite beautiful.

I went out and checked, no flowers or butterflies in my backyard today, do snow angels count?

There seem to be a lot of butterflies about this summer which is rather nice. I was worrying they had disappeared. Glad it matched your favourite hue. 🙂

They are amazing when you think of it. So much colour in such a fragile transient creature.

That photo is so wonderful, TJ. Yearning for summer again. Yes, I would wear a butterfly in my hair if it graced me with its presence. I had one land on my finger once momentarily and it was such a wonder. Lovely post.

Thanks so much. I only had my phone with me so was glad the shot turned out so well. I would love butterflies to land on me too but more often here it is huge moths flying at your face at night time which is a little less charming. 🙂

So thrilled that it had that effect. I was so glad that the shot turned out as I only had my phone and had to hold it close to the butterfly, but it obligingly waited for me to take the photo.
