This was what I envisaged when I started paneling my dining room. I thought I could whip up something similar with the little box of water colors and a brush I had from Christmas 1975.
Alas, I was wrong and decided instead to settle for plain panels and live to dream of this ceiling we saw in what was actually the original toilet of Vaux le Vicomte.
The fact that it was a decoration for a water closet puts the charming cherub perched upon a cloud in a whole new perspective and I pity the nymphs below.
Life is too short to drink bad wine 
Every time it rain, it rains, pennies from heaven…. Don’t you know each cloud contains, pennies from heaven… Perhaps those below might cheer up knowing this… lol
