Prompt word: Drift
Leaves in autumn winds
Drift across the flower beds
A magic carpet
Bonjour from Paris mon amis! I stopped by the lovely Jardin du Luxembourg for a stroll today and came across this garden bed covered by the last of the autumn leaves. Hopefully it will give you some ideas for a haiku this week!
Many thanks to those who came back on board last week and hope to see a few more this weekend. Apologies to a few I missed last week which I include in the list today.

It must be a magic carpet indeed, since the flowers are still visible. Maybe I am so used to seeing how easily the big leaf maple leaves can cover ground and flowers. Great haiku and photo.
Here are my four for this challenge. https://aseasonandatime.blogspot.com/2016/11/tjs-household-haiku-drift.html

Hi! This may be close to the wire, but I just realized this morning that I could write a drift poem. Before I hadn’t thought so but that was before the snow came.

Thanks so much for the poem and sorry for the delay in replying. I am afraid Paris has got to me.

Such a lovely haiku–can’t go wrong with a magic carpet…well, I guess you can, but it always has an exciting sound 🙂
