Dreaming of the Dance

I love this. Apparently the original French version had slippers of fur, not glass pantoufle de vair, fur slipper, for pantoufle de verre glass slipper. But, anyhoo, glass slippers are just so much more chic (despite the blisters)

  1. Thanks very much for the honor of this reblog, TJ–it rarely happens to me, so it’s a most lovely gift this evening. I didn’t know about the original slippers being fur…wonder how they became glass in translation–surely fur would be more comfy, though I’m not sure how one would dance in what sounds like bedroom slippers 🙂 🙂 Thanks again!
