Prompt words for this week: “Window and Heart”
Forgive me my dear fellow Haikuists. I’m back!
Bienvenue to you haiku enthusiasts out there. This image of the peculiar 15th centruy remnant in the midst of busy Paris always intrigues me given that it looks like a fairy tale castle surrounded by 19th and 20th Century architecture.
Many thanks to all those who converted the prompts of “Shiver and Rain” from last week into another compilation of Haikuey goodness.
As always, apologies in advance if I should be so inept as to miss anyone in the roundup. Always let me know and I will add you in ASAP.
The incomparable Annette Rochelle Aben started off the collection with this introverted view

What a magnificent collection. I love how the re-ordering creates such different perspectives. I am so flattered that you took such time to create these for the challenge. Thank you friend! TJ

Drat! My brain is on Hurricane Irma. I created a Tanka instead of a haiku and when I realized my mistake I took out the last 2 lines which, of course, had “window” in it.
It’s best for me not to do anything more at the moment.

Tankas are very welcome too so if you want to put both versions I would love to read them. 🙂

Thanks. I’ll try to remember the last 2 lines. I should know better than to erase instead of save.

I so hope you will not have any close encounter with Irma. Thinking of you from over the sea.

Thanks.
I believe that every country has a “pet” natural disaster whether it’s cyclones/hurricanes, flooding, sandstorms, earthquakes or tornados. I worry about the people who are going to be getting a direct hit — people who, until a few days ago — didn’t know Irma was targeting them.

Thanks for the prompt. I’d go mad if I couldn’t stop now and again and write something.

That is something that makes you appreciate the moment for sure. I am off for a few day soon to Albany, a lovely town by the sea so that will give me chance to slow down a bit. 🙂
