TJ’s Household Haiku Challenge – Weeds

These nasturtium leaves caught the sunlight just after a shower filling them with cabochon gems.

Raindrops fell on weeds

Transforming unwanted leaves

Into gem caskets

This was a nasturtium that sprang up in a crack in the driveway. I actually love nasturtiums but they do grow like weeds once they are in the garden. This day the rain had just scattered a few drops and the sunlight caught them and the star veins in the leaf itself.

last week’s prompt “Lamp” produced some great contributions.
