Theme for Week 2 of TJ’s Household Haiku Challenge – Books
A beloved book
Slowly breaks down and reveals
A hidden meaning
Here we are on the weekend again!
Tempus fugit and all that!
Thanks to those who took the time to have a look at the first ever challenge and to the most kind and select few who contributed some wonderfully inspiring Haiku.
3 totally different perspective on the theme “jug” over the week and all winners. Do take a moment to check out the posts and the photos here.
A wonderful Haiku from the great outdoors.
A jug with potential from Mara Eastern

And the first ever contributor who composed a lovely Haiku about a treasured family item.

I just wanted to say: THANK YOU! for hosting this haiku challenge. I really like the idea of writing about household things, making what we might take as ordinary or regular and making haiku beauty. So, thank you. I am not as reliable as I want to be and I may forget to participate regularly but I want to use this contest event to help my writing.

Many thanks! And with only 3 lines to write it is a great way to compose a poem without needing to spend hours dealing with iambic pentameter! 🙂
