“Me Generation”
Tell me the kind of future
We give the children?
The Brittany coastline is so wonderfully beautiful. It seems incredible that it also dotted throughout with remnants of fortifications built for defense in WWII. St Malo itself, a wonder of architecture was almost obliterated. What we see today is almost a complete reproduction, reconstructed literally stone by stone by those who knew what a loss it would be to let it stay a complete ruin.
I can never understand how people can be so capable of creating the most beautiful art, architecture, music and writing can also be capable of such mindless, selfish destruction.
Give the gift of kindness whenever you can.

Some years ago, we visited Normandy, where my f-i-l landed on Omaha Beach on D-Day. What an experience that was! I think it’s important to have these stark reminders of the horror that is war, even when it is sometimes a necessity.

I agree wholeheartedly. If people do not see these reminders they lose the sense of the tragedy of war and the enormity of the conflict that left reminders all over France and the rest of Europe.

Have you ever thought of putting your Haiku, Images, and stories behind them in a book form? Just think, after a few months of challenges you would have a book. 🙂
