Wildflower Wednesday – Spring Daisies

Spring daisies
Spring daisies

And so the spring with lush promises

and florid expressions,

Beguiles the dormant senses into wakefulness.

And reinvigorated, the rising passions burst forth…

A rush of vermillion on the white cheek,

A revelation of life unfurling.

Pink blushes for the bees’ rainbow kisses.

Honeyed words for the butterflies,

Floating in the scented air.

And all around, nature smiles in the gentle sunlight

Anticipating summer

  1. I am enthralled with your words. Oh Spring, I mourned your passing and yearn for your resurrection. In my part of the world, we are getting ready to hibernate for the winter. Such stunning daisies, TJ.

    1. Sorry for the delay replying. Life is on the boil! The vase is a little piece of Vienna porcelain from the 1940’s with a stylized flower on it. It could well be a daisy.
